FANTASTIC MISTER OX is the musical alter ego of Chris Howard, a British-born / Denver-based recording artist who makes music that sits somewhere between the club and the campfire … electronic, organic, and phantasmagoric.

In 2026, Fantastic Mister Ox released his debut album, and the sky still speaks, a collection of songs written and recorded beneath the aurora borealis in Hvalfjörður, Iceland. Built from acoustic guitar, a thrifted Reykjavík xylophone, and field recordings captured on glaciers and along remote fjords, the album marked a significant step forward in FMO's evolving sound: nature-soaked, melodic electronic music rooted in impermanence, awe, and exploration.

His next album, a thousand ways to fly, was recorded throughout Colorado, capturing the sounds of his adopted home’s mountains and rivers for a swirling summer record propelled by mile high city beats. His most accessible and joyful songs yet, the new album is set for release on August 7th, 2026.
